Nutrition Australia says that active, growing children require good nutrition to build healthy bodies and to help them be the best they can be.
They advise that we as parents can help our children build healthy foundations by encouraging a love of good food and good nutrition throughout the foundation years of childhood. But it is hard to make healthy meals every night, especially after a long day at work and school, and after school activities, and …we fit a lot into our day.

The microwave is your friend. Try frozen vegetables, they take a few seconds in the microwave to prepare with a dash of water in the bowl. “The nutrients in frozen produce are sealed into the vegetables during the freezing process,” according to Ms Grice from Dietitians Association Australia, as reported by the ABC here.
