Reduction in plastic use reduces our plastic waste – globally.
This month three major convenience store operators with outlets around Japan have begun charging 3-yen for each plastic shopping bag. These convenience stores serve millions across the country each day.
The effort is in line with the Japanese government’s plan to discourage the use of plastic bags across the country.
When millions of people are discouraged to use plastic, each day, every day, we can make a positive effort toward the global reduction of plastic usage and plastic waste.
